BED BUG TREATMENT

Our Bed Bug Treatment Service

We know how scary waking up to red welts, rashes, and hives due to bed bug bites can be. So if you’ve spent the last few nights tossing and turning, we can help! You see, bed bugs are troublesome pests. They’re sneaky, hard to find, and can cause potential health problems. Armed with 23 years of experience and state-of-the-art products/tools, REMOTUS Pest Control is well-equipped to help you get rid of bed bugs for good!

Our Personalized Method of Treating Bed Bugs

To the untrained eye, visually uncovering an infestation of bedbugs is difficult and frustrating. Should you discover bed bugs in your home, the do-it-yourself remedies are ineffective and a waste of time and money. Meanwhile you are giving these pests additional time to reproduce and populate your entire home! The experienced and highly-trained technicians at REMOTUS Pest Control will analyze your unique situation, implement the solution, and monitor activity to ensure our bed bug treatment was effective.

1. BED BUG INSPECTION

We’ll conduct a thorough inspection of every room in the home as well as checking all mattress’s, box spring’s, bed frames, head/footboards, walls and carpet. This inspection helps us assess the severity of the bed bug infestation and how many rooms and areas need to be treated.

2. PREPARATION CHECKLIST

We’ll provide a customized preparation checklist to you prior to your bed bug treatment. This checklist includes: reducing clutter, washing infested garments and linens, dismantling bed frames, removing dresser drawers and cleaning the area.  To ensure the effectiveness of the treatment, you must actively complete the items on this list before we treat your home. This step will significantly increase the effectiveness of your bed bug treatment.

3. CHEMICAL APPLICATION

We’ll carefully apply a combination of liquid and dust in the affected room(s) and areas. Not only will we treat your mattress, but we’ll also target your baseboards and furniture (nightstands, chests, dressers, couches and chairs). This treatment drives bed bugs out from their hiding place and kills them. The treatment continues to provide protection for up to 6 months after application.

4. MONITORING

As one of our steps after treating the areas of concern, we’ll schedule a return trip to examine the effectiveness of our bed bug treatment and determine if additional treatment or monitoring will be necessary. Our goal, of course, is to ensure the bedbugs have been fully exterminated from your home.

Frequently Asked Questions

The answer to this question depends on your mattress’s condition and the size of the bed bug infestation. If there are holes or tears in the mattress, bed bugs and their eggs may be nested inside. So we usually recommend discarding the mattress in this case. But if your mattress is in good shape and the infestation isn’t severe, we carry mattress safe encasements and active guard liners. Both of these products are effective as preventative and proactive bed bug treatments.

Let’s set the record straight… bed bugs do NOT transmit diseases through their bites. They do, however, suck blood from their host with piercing mouthparts, but the bite itself is painless. Bed bugs also do not live under the skin. Their bites often appear as red, itchy bumps or welts on the skin, usually on the arms or shoulders. So if you’re noticing bites like this on your skin, please call us at 407-878-2773 today!

After we treat your home for bed bugs, we recommend that you inspect any used furniture you purchase before bringing it into your home. This is especially true for bed frames, mattresses, and couches. We also recommend that you check for bed bugs in your hotel room while traveling. You may want to inspect or vacuum your luggage and wash any clothing you used on this trip once you get home.

Pricing for bed bug treatments starts at $123 per room. Your exact price will depend on the size of the infestation and how many rooms are affected. So we recommend you call 407-878-2773 to schedule your bed bug inspection today! We’ll check your mattress, box spring, bed frame, head & footboards, furniture, walls, and carpet for these blood-sucking pests.
This depends on the severity of your bed bug infestation. On average, our bed bug treatments take 30 minutes to 2 hours per room to complete. Furthermore, it’s unlikely that all the bed bugs will be killed in the initial treatment, so we recommend two follow-up visits spaced ten days apart. To get an accurate estimate, please call 407-878-2773. We’ll gladly answer this question and any other bed bug questions you have.
We guarantee our bed bug treatment for a minimum of 30 days. Of course, most of our customers enjoy the results of our bed bug treatment for much longer than that. We do a great job of assessing your unique situation, implementing a proper solution, and monitoring activity after the job is done! To schedule your service, please call 407-878-2773.
